Frequently asked questions

I am always happy to help you navigate the shop, explain differences in products and answer general questions. Herbs are wonderfully diverse, but not “one size fits all.” If your question is about treating a medical condition for the right approach, our naturopathic doctors are the best resource and are available by appointment.

Historically, an Apothecary was a place where herbs and botanicals were carefully prepared and shared within the community. Today, a modern Apothecary carries that spirit forward by offering high quality herbs, botanicals and education in a welcoming space designed for exploration and discovery.

Well, for starters you are in the right place. Many of our customers are just getting started. We LOVE to both introduce people to herbs and help you discover at your own pace. Ask questions, browse the shelves. We are here to guide you.

Tea is just one small part of of what you will discover in this Apothecary. As with our herbs, we offer a thoughtfully curated selection of organic loose teas so come in and take a look...and don’t forget the honey!

Gifts are ideal

Special Someone.

LAURA EICKHOFF

Manager / Owner
Owning the Apothecary has been a natural extension of a lifelong passion for health, wellness and helping others for Laura. As a nurse, she spent much of her career caring for people and understands the importance of listening, learning and meeting each person where they are — she uses the same approach today. Laura enjoys helping people discover the remarkable diversity of herbs, and connecting visitors with the right resources, including the licensed naturopathic doctors practicing within the clinic.

“I personally invite you to stop in
for a cup a tea, so we can discuss
any questions, situations or curiosities
you may have!”

DR. KIMBERLY NEARPASS, N.D.

Registered Naturopathic Doctor
“One important benefit of being a Naturopathic doctor is that I am able to take the time to ask detailed questions and really listen to the answers. I find that patient information is often the most valuable tool in diagnosis.”
2003 Graduate, National University of Natural Medicine
Portland, Oregon
Dr. Nearpass always wanted to be a physician, and growing up with an appreciation for the outdoors and nature, coupled with her experiences working in traditional cultures in southern Africa (as a Peace Corps volunteer) and Ecuador (as a rainforest naturalist guide), clarified her passion for and belief in the healing powers of nature. Dr. Nearpass chose to become a naturopathic doctor in order to gain skills and knowledge to help patients regain true health, as gently, safely and naturally as possible.  As a registered naturopathic doctor, Dr. Nearpass works with women, striving to identify the underlying cause of "disease," through detailed history, intake and physical exam.  Although ND's (Naturopathic Doctors) work with most acute and chronic conditions, Dr. Nearpass has expertise in women's issues such as menopause, irregular or difficult menses, fertility challenges  and endocrine problems, including thyroid and adrenal imbalance.

“I love my job, and the fact that my
passion for nature and
Naturopathic profession aligns.”

LINDSEY MESSICK

Certified Rolfer
My journey to Rolfing began with a deep curiosity about the human body — how it moves, heals, and connects to the mind.
Whether I’m surfing waves, exploring the mountains or  working hands-on with clients, my passion is helping people rediscover freedom in their movement and alignment in their lives.

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, I made my way to Boulder, Colorado to pursue my certification at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute.
I hold a degree in Human Nutrition from Clemson University where I gained insight into how food fuels our body’s ability to function. Upon graduation, I worked alongside a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in gut health opening my eyes to the power of whole body healing.

Rolfing Structural Integration isn’t just about pain relief — it is about unlocking  the potential for effortless movement and deep, lasting change.

Rolfing can help:
• relieve chronic and acute pain
• support injury recovery
• improve posture and alignment
• enhance athletic performance
• reduce stress and tension
• promote emotional release
• improve sleep and energy level
